Nashville, TN—April 7, 2014— MAFIAoZA’s Pizzeria and Neighborhood Pub, a favorite on the dining scene since opening its doors in 2003, will participate in the “Percent of Proceeds” campaign in support of David Osborn, a 2014 LLS Man & Woman of the Year Candidate.
The “Percent of Proceeds” days will take place on Wednesday, April 16 and Wednesday, May 28, 2014. MAFIAoZA’s is asking customers to come and support David and the LLS mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. THE LLS MAN AND WOMAN OF THE YEAR CAMPAIGN (MWOY)
The Man & Woman of the Year campaign, established in 1990, is the most cost efficient fundraising event that LLS hosts. Almost 90% of the money raised through the campaign goes directly back to the LLS mission. In this campaign, various leaders from the business and social communities in Nashville have been asked to serve as a candidate for a nine-week period between April 10 and June 19, 2014. Candidates competing for the title of 2014 Man & Woman of the Year are judged solely on a philanthropic basis during the campaign with the goal of raising as much money as possible for LLS. The male and female candidates who raise the most money will be named the 2014 Man & Woman of the Year. Local totals are also submitted for national titles.
